To mark the 54th Tibetan National Uprising Day on March 10, 2013, several thousand Canadian Tibetans in the GTA took part in a massive protest rally in Toronto in front of China's Consulate-General on St. George St. The protest rally was followed by a Tibetan Cultural rally at Yonge-Dundas Square. Leaders from various political parties and the Tibetan community addressed the public gathering at Yonge-Dundas Square. Here is the speech by Mark Daye of the Green Party of Ontario.

The Robocall Scandal And A Call For Justice! (pressfortruth.tv)
Last Sunday, I attended the rally at Yonge Dundas Square and spoke to pressfortruth.tv
My comments can be seen around the 9:40 mark and again right at the end of the video. (Sorry about the bad hair!)
On Sunday March 11th Canadians all across the country held rallies to
call for a public inquiry into the robocall scandal. With more and more
complaints about calls coming in there appears to be a need for
by-elections in all effected ridings and for Stephen Harper to be held
accountable for electoral fraud.

“Die-In” Mon. Dec. 13th 12:30pm Yonge & Dundas intersection
On Monday, December 13 at 12:30 pm at the intersection of Yonge and Dundas, the Student-coalition at the University of Toronto will stage a "die-in" media-stunt. Participants, dressed in red, (you – wear red) will "die" in the middle of the scramble intersection at regular intervals to bring attention to the lives lost due to a lack of medicines.
Currently, 10 million people living with HIV/AIDS do not have access to life-saving Anti-Retroviral drugs. So why hasn't the Canadian government supported legislation which could allow for more affordable life-saving medication? Bill C-393 could facilitate access to low-cost generic drugs, but on Thursday, December 16th this bill risks being abandoned.
It would be an incredible help if you could join us. The event will only take 30 minutes.
If you are interested in participating, and for further details, please contact: leanne.rasmussen@utoronto.ca

Thousands Of Canadians Rally for Democracy!
This video posted on Rabble.ca shows some of the thousands of protesters who came out today at Yonge Dundas square in downtown Toronto to let Stephen Harper know they are not please with prorogation of parliament.
I'm was there with several friends, Green Party members, supporters and Green Party Toronto Centre candidate Stefan Premdas. More pictures coming soon.
If you haven't already joined the Facebook group please do so. This is NOT over! I saw Harper on the new tonight essentially ignoring us and commenting that the opposition should find something constructive to do. This is your Prime Minister people, and his attitude it one of entitlement and condescension towards the voting public. That is YOU!
DO NOT allow this arrogant pig to take away your rights and freedoms. DEMAND that parliament be treated with the respect it deserves!
I will be uploading my own pictures from the rally soon.

Just For Laughs at Yonge Dundas Square
Click on the images above to view large size.
After a brief delay by a summer rainshower, we got on the subway and headed to Yonge Dundas Square to see Russell Peters at the Just For Laughs comedy festival. The packed subway was a good indicator of the crowd at the square, which I estimate was in the thousands. Below is a stitched panorama image of the crowd and one of Russell Peters on stage. We only stayed a few minutes due to the size of the crowd and we couldn't really hear anything. His act is posted on Youtube in four parts.
Thanks to Petals & Twigs in the Toronto Life Square which overlooks Yonge Dundas Square for letting me take the crowd picture from your window.
