Updating ...the Daye...

If you are a regular visitor (do I have any of those?) you will have noticed some changes this week. I have been experimenting with photography a little and have attempted to create my own page header. You probably noticed a new one displayed now. It is a picture I took last night of my spice jars. Some other new (and I think exciting) things are the Poll of ...the Daye..., which I am using to guage what visitors would like to see more of at this site. The current poll is open until the end of July.

I have also created a sign up field where you can enter your email address and you will join ...the Daye... Google Group. Why, you may ask? Because, it was the easiest way I found to give readers an option to sign up and receive posts in their inbox. Using this feature, I create a list of people who will receive the postings when they are published. I will use it when I begin sending out the 'Word of ...the Daye...' and the 'Place of ...the Daye...' again, probably in September.

Another new feature is ...the Dave... Videos, which displays four thumbnails of David's video creations, which are all available on his You Tube page. When you click the thumbnail the video opens and plays at the top of the page, so I've tried to keep the thumbs near the top also.

Others features include the Toronto weather gadget on the right side of the screen, the fish at the bottom, which you can feed by clicking your mouse and the photo album, which is where I will display my photos that I am not too embarrased to share. I've also added a counter and links to other sites that I like.
