Four Years and a New Look

If you come here often, and I hope you do. You will have noticed a few changes in the past few weeks.

the Daye. as it is now known began as The Word of The Daye or WOTD in July of 2006 with the announcement that it was to begin in October of 2006. Why three months to prepare? I can't say, although it seems strange now, I think I was trying to come up with a topic.

I am happy to report, however, that if you look at this you will see I not only DID post the next entry on October 1, 2006, I even made of a funky WOTD logo to go with the first WOTD, which for the record was; abrogate.

Since that initial WOTD this blog as morphed and become what you see today. For awhile there was regular POTD, or Place of The Daye posts with screenshots from Google Earth. There was the Southpark character  creator and there were various causes, holidays and things. One of the most viewed posts ever is the We Tour America Scam post, which still gets regular daily traffic. I guess that guy is still scamming America.

Odescalchi Castle, Italy

Today we are looking for the name of the building. I think this one is pretty easy so the only hints are that the place is not in Scandinavia or Antarctica. Good Luck!

Warsaw Ghetto, Poland

HINTS:
1. On November 16, 19__ a significant event happend in this place and the people who lived here.

San Quentin Prison, CA, USA

HINTS

1. It is in the United States.

On this day Scott Peterson was found guilty of murdering his wife Lacy and their unborn child Connor. Peterson, who was later sentenced to death now resides in San Quentin Prison.

THE WORLDS BIGGEST BOOKSTORE ~ EDWARD ST. TORONTO

Opened on November 5, 1980

Levelland Texas, USA

POTD for November 2, 2006. Sorry its late. I've been sick all week.

Hints:

1. It is in North America

2. Name the town, it is in Texas, USA.

3. One of the most publicized cases of a close encounter of the second kind occurred in 1957 on this day at Levelland Texas. Patrolman A. J. Fowler received fifteen different frantic phone calls in what would be an unforgettable night for him and his fellow officers. About four miles west of Levelland, Pedro Saucedo and his friend Joe Salaz were driving in Pedro's pickup truck when they saw a brightly lighted, cigar-shaped object moving in their direction.
