Amos is a dairy farmer from the town of Litein in Rift Valley, Kenya. He has been farming for two years and has employed one farmhand. He sells his milk to a tea estate. He also earns income from his small-scale farming of tea, which he sells to Kenya Tea Development Authority, and from his motorbike transport business.

Amos is 23 years old and married with no children.

Amos has requested this loan of 40,000 KES to purchase and insure a dairy cow. He says that this loan will enable him to expand his dairy business by increasing the number of his dairy cows, which will increase his production. His biggest challenges have been the lack of proper and enough animal feeds, the high cost of animal feed, and a poor transport network.

In five years, he would like to see his business expand and increase his milk production from the current 10 litres to 50 litres daily.
