Rob Ford voted to start negotiations for another sole-source, long-term lease, with a company that runs food concessions along the western waterfront and in High Park. “It’s extremely hypocritical,” said Sandra Bussin, the local councillor who has defended Tuggs in the past and taken considerable flak for it. “He railed against the Boardwalk Pub, yet on (this) he voted in favour of a sole-source contract without even asking a single question.”
Councillor Adam Vaughan added: “I guess when a friend of Rob’s is involved, it’s not a gravy train. When a councillor (he doesn’t get along with) puts something forward, it is.”
