Native groups have launched a legal bid to block a major hydro development in northeastern Quebec

.The Innu of Uashat and Mani-Utenam have filed a request for a temporary injunction to halt the Romaine River project.
They say the proposed development, and especially the planned transmission lines, run right through their ancestral territory and they never gave their consent.
The Innu
