A Week In La belle Province
We are off to Quebec City this week and will be enjoying Canyon Sainte-Anne and doing some fun stuff. Thanks to my Mom for the Aventure X Gift. There is a zip line and some pretty amazing scenery according to the website. I will take pictures too.
Thanks to Andrew (maybe) for organizing the Montreal party. We are really excited and curious about what surprises await us. Following that we are heading to Montreal for our Big Gay Stag & Stag party and Divers/Cite, Montreal's Gay Pride celebration.
This is the description on the Aventure Xwebsite:
The canopy circuits exist since 1843 and are extremely popular in Mexico and in South America. The " canopy " expression refers to the movement from a tree to another, using rope bridges, pulleys and aerial terraces.
Inspired by the " canopy " concept, the popular Via Ferrata in Europe and the modern climbing techniques, Francois-Guy Thivierge, Quebec's specialist in adventure activities regrouped all these ideas on a fantastic natural site for this unique formula: the Canopy Canyon Adventure.
"The extraordinary aerial traverse at Canyon Sainte-Anne is made of iron wires, from one shore to the other with a completely safe pulley system. After a few tips, you will leave the ground on the belvedere and stop in the middle of the circuit, to enjoy the heights! You will end your traverse on a terrace attached to a huge white pine, where a guide will wait for you.
This is the most popular and accessible to everyone circuit! It includes " les Marmites "'s Via Ferrata, that goes along the sides of steep crags into the spectacular Canyon Sainte-Anne the easy way. This natural circuit is full of accessible adventures; you will go through a nepalean aerial bridge. The Canyon's zip line is more than 60 meters high and as the most spectacular traverse in Canada!!!"
