Dogs (somehow) Eat Poisoned Cupcakes

Police in Durham region were called to Poplar Park on Ash Street at around 11:30 p.m. after at least three separate dog owners brought their pets to a local animal clinic when they became sick.

"It's just awful, I just can't even imagine it," one woman told CTV Toronto Tuesday morning while walking her dog.

Another dog owner choked back tears as she spoke of the news. "I can't believe anyone would do this," she said.

Well these women need to believe it and they, and all dog owners need to realize this sort of thing will probably continue, at least until dog owners start taking responsibility for their animals and keeping them on a leash and under control.

I can't count how many times I've been in parks that have a separate off leash area and there is an irresponsible dog owner with a dog NOT in the off leash area with a dog running free.  These idiots need to realize that not everyone is comfortable with these unpredictable animals running free doing as they please. This also explains how dogs eat the poisoned food, or whatever may be on the ground. Maybe if you watched and controlled your animal it wouldn't be able to eat poison or shit, or other garbage off the ground. And finally, clean up the dog shit your animal leaves on the ground. Personally I want a dog ban in the city, but I know that is unrealistic.
