US Pets Abandoned. Canadian Pets Spoiled Rotten.

I read in the Toronto Star today, that US pet owners are giving up their pets due to the current recession in that country, meanwhile over at  CTV news they did a report tonight about all the ways Toronto pet owners can pamper their pets this holiday season. 

I didn't realize initially that The Star story was about the US, it is actually posted under 'World News'. I find it hard to believe that this story is the one The Star finds important enough to list on the front page of their website! 

The more I think about how this recession is supposedly affection all of us, all over the world, how is it that our pets are getting off so lucky? I guess things are worse south of the border than here.

Media Hungry Fantino At It Again

It seems OPP Commissioner Julian Fantino just doesn't have the balls to run for public office, and be a part of the process, yet again.

Now he thinks that drivers should pay if they cause an accident. I don't necessarily disagree with this guy, but like Jack Layton he always seems to be around a camera.

If Fantino wants to change the laws he should run for office, the last time I checked we had a Minister of Transportation. Just shut up and do your job and give up being a media whore, its so last year.

Snow!

Yep, its snowing. Just look outside or turn on the tv. We are getting 15cm today and supposed to get another 10 cm on Sunday. I only remember once or twice last winter having days like this. Had to come home early today since last time we had weather like this it took me an hour and a half to come up the street about 10 blocks, now I'm warm at home and getting my laundry caught up and some other odds and ends around the house.

Oh my God! I have to write something so the feed for the google ads to the right will change from all this Jesus, Christianity and Priest ads. I don't know what to write though, but all these ads about the bible, with its 'New' Testament and 'Old Testament', well, they are making me insane!
