The Uniforms are fabulous, but...

Jewish groups in Britain Monday condemned the head of motor racing's Formula One after he was pictured in a tabloid newspaper allegedly participating in an orgy with prostitutes dressed as Nazi guards.
The News of the World published photographs Sunday which showed Max Mosley spanking and being whipped by five girls.
Mosley, 67, the president of the FIA which governs Formula One, is shown brandishing a whip and wearing ankle chains.
Speaking in German and brandishing a leather whip, he beat the women after allowing himself to be subjected to a humiliating inspection for lice and an interrogation in chains.
Mosley's father Oswald Mosley was a friend of Adolf Hitler and led a British fascist party in the 1930s which led to him being interned by the British government during World War II.

A Message From Al Gore

Last week I asked you to get your friends involved in our campaign to stop global warming and you responded: more than 70,000 people have joined in the last week alone. That's simply amazing and shows that there is immense support behind our call for solutions to the climate crisis. Today we are just 76,000 short of reaching our goal of 1,000,000 members by April.
You can help put us over the top. Right now I need you to forward the email below to everyone you know and ask them to get involved.
More than 924,000 people have already joined us, but if we are going to succeed we need to reach 1,000,000 by April.
With your help, we'll reach this goal and send a powerful message to the world. Please ask your friends to get involved today: http://wecansolveit.org/invitealliance
Thank you,
Al Gore

Fitna the Movie: Geert Wilders' film about the Quran (English)

From Yahoo! News:
THE HAGUE (AFP) - Dutch far-right MP Geert Wilders on Thursday made good his pledge to post a controversial film critical of Islam on the Internet, featuring violent imagery of terrorist attacks in New York and Madrid intertwined with Koranic texts.
The first minutes of the 17-minute movie -- titled "Fitna" and posted on www.liveleak.com -- show a Koran being opened and the text of a sura from Islam's holiest tome, which translated from Arabic implores the faithful to "terrorise the enemies of Allah".
The opening scenes were followed by images of airplanes flying into the World Trade Centre in New York on September 11, 2001, with soundbites from phone calls to the emergency services on that day.
The film continues with grizzly images of bloodstained bodies in the aftermath of the Madrid train bombings in March 2004 in which 191 people were killed.
All the imagery appears to have been taken from existing video footage, mixed with Koranic text and put to a dramatic soundtrack by Tchaikovsky and Grieg.
Wilder's movie plans had already drawn complaints from religious groups and warnings from the Dutch government that it could provoke violent protests around the world.
Despite pressure from The Hague not to release the movie, Wilders pushed ahead. Dutch officials fear a repeat of violent protests that erupted when European newspapers printed cartoons depicting the Prophet Mohammed.
LiveLeak is a British-based video sharing website, similar to the more popular YouTube, with an emphasis on current affairs, politics and reality-based footage, including images of war from around the world.

The God Gene Test

The God gene test.
According to Mary.com:
"There are three reasons why people believe in God and or attend services. Some carry genes for just 1, others 2, and a few, 3 reasons. If you inherited all three, you have the God Gene."

Take the test (120 questions) at Mary.com and see if you have the God gene.

Grow Housing Toronto

The following is from http://growhousingtoronto.com

According to the Toronto Star there is a $1 billion funding gap in affordable housing in Toronto. This is of direct impact to the more then 65,000 people currently on the City of Toronto’s waiting list who are waiting for affordable housing. There is also a growing consensus of the need for new developments to be environmentally sensitive. What is needed is a new model for affordable housing; a model that learns from past mistakes and builds off past successes. Toronto needs a model that develops housing while providing jobs and improving the community and the environment. GROW Housing seeks to establish this new model.

GROW Housing, currently a conceptual proposal, utilizes an innovative sustainable design strategy to facilitate the creation of affordable housing. The model was developed to mimic the cyclical flow of resources exhibited by the natural world. To create this system, a vertical farm, Living Machine®, and methane digester have been merged with a residential development providing housing for 1,000 residents.

A juicy backstory wasn't enough to keep David Hernandez on "American Idol." The 24-year-old ex-stripper from Glendale, Ariz., was dismissed Wednesday, leaving 11 aspiring singers to vie for the "Idol" title and a record contract.
"Honestly, things happen for a reason," Hernandez said before leaving the stage. "I think we all have a plan. ... This isn't it for me."
Hernandez, who sang the Beatles' "I Saw Her Standing There," made headlines last week after it was revealed to The Associated Press that he worked as a stripper at a Phoenix club with a "mostly male" clientele.

American Idol: David Hernandez Former Stripper

LOS ANGELES - "American Idol" contestant David Hernandez once entertained audiences by removing his clothes, instead of singing tunes, a manager at a male strip club in Phoenix said.
The 24-year-old finalist from Glendale, Ariz., once worked as a stripper at Dick's Cabaret, appearing fully nude and performing lap dances for the club's "mostly male" clientele, club manager Gordy Bryan said Monday.
"He had the look and the type that people like, so he made pretty good money here," Bryan said.
It's not clear whether a history as a stripper could disqualify Hernandez from the competition. In 2003, finalist Frenchie Davis was dismissed because of her appearance on an adult website but last year, Antonella Barba remained in the competition after racy photos of her surfaced on the Internet.
Fox spokeswomen Jill Hudson did not immediately return telephone calls seeking comment Monday.
Bryan said Hernandez steadily worked at the club for three years until September 30, 2007.
"He never renewed his licensing with the state, so he hasn't been on my roster since then," Bryan said.
Bryan said he was aware Hernandez was a vocalist but Hernandez never sang at the club. Bryan said he now believes Hernandez stopped working at the club because of his participation in "American Idol." Hernandez has never been referred to as a stripper or former stripper during the Fox singing competition.
Rumours of a stripper past - along with photos of a scantily clad Hernandez working as a bartender at gay nightclub Burn - were first posted last week on VoteForTheWorst.com, a site that encourages "Idol" viewers to vote for "the bad and truly entertaining contestants."
"It was like moths to a flame," said VoteForTheWorst.com founder Dave Della Terza.
"As soon as I posted that, we started getting 10, 20 letters every single day from people saying: 'Yeah, he's a stripper in Phoenix."'
Terza and other members of VoteForTheWorst.com community scoured MySpace, Photobucket and other social-networking and photo-sharing sites to find information and images of Hernandez. Terza said he contacted the club to confirm the Internet chatter but they never got back to him.
"They said they couldn't give me a statement before talking to their lawyers," said Terza.
Hernandez, who originally auditioned for "Idol" in San Diego on July 30, 2007, is in the Fox singing competition's top 16 contestants. Last week, he earned rave reviews from the judges after his performance of The Temptations' "Papa Was a Rolling Stone." He is scheduled to perform with the other male contestants on Tuesday's show.
